Child Safety Standards for Deaf Talk

This Child Safety Standards page applies to Deaf Talk, developed and operated by AppOgram Engineering LLC.

Deaf Talk is committed to maintaining a safe environment for all users. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), child sexual abuse material (CSAM), child endangerment, grooming, trafficking, or any conduct that harms minors.

Published Standards

Deaf Talk strictly prohibits Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) in any form, including but not limited to:

  • Grooming, solicitation, coercion, or manipulation of minors.
  • Creating, uploading, storing, sharing, requesting, promoting, or distributing Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
  • Sexual exploitation, trafficking, or sexualization of children.
  • Using Deaf Talk to threaten, lure, harass, exploit, or sexually target a child.
  • Any content, communication, profile, group, or behavior that facilitates the abuse or exploitation of minors.
  • Attempting to bypass safety measures designed to protect children and vulnerable users.

Enforcement and Response

If AppOgram Engineering LLC becomes aware of content, conduct, or accounts on Deaf Talk that may involve CSAE, CSAM, or child endangerment, we may take immediate action, including:

  • Removing violating content.
  • Suspending or permanently terminating related accounts.
  • Restricting access to app features.
  • Preserving relevant information where required by applicable law.
  • Reporting the matter to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), law enforcement agencies, or other relevant child protection authorities where required by law.

In-App Reporting and Review

Deaf Talk provides users with mechanisms to report inappropriate, abusive, or unsafe behavior within the app.

Reports involving child safety are prioritized and reviewed as quickly as reasonably possible. AppOgram Engineering LLC may investigate reported content or accounts and take appropriate action, including content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination.
